The botanical gardens are beautiful. It rained off and on while I was there, which only added to the experience. I did not use a guide and am glad I didn't. There are signs that explain the different trees and plants, and for me, the real beauty was walking around, sitting on benches from time to time, and taking in the nature. The Diamond Falls are great to look at for 5 minutes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our tour guide was Garvin and he was truly the best! The van was clean. The information he shared about the island was fascinating and he answered all of our questions. He took so many pictures and videos for us while we got in the water and covered ourselves in mud. He also timed everything perfectly to the point that we would miss the waves of crowds coming to the falls and springs. Yes, these are total tourist spots, but they are also beautiful and worth going to if you've never been to the island before. Plus, if you get Garvin, he'll take you when there's less people there and move you along when too many people start showing up. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Booked this last minute, thinking it was a half-day, but ended up being a full day which we were pleasantly surprised. That included not only the sulfur mud baths, but also a waterfall, the Pitons, lunch, and an awesome catamaran sale and snorkel right back to our cruise ship.
Shakar and our driver, John were amazing. John even made a stop on the windy Mountain Road at a place well known for their cassava bread. He treated us to that tasty delicacy.
We were on a cruise ship, so I was worried about getting back in time, but we had no problems.
